Announcement affecting the Karg release

I´m aghast to inform you that the release of the "Karg" tape is withdrawn until further notice.
During the last check-up it has been discovered that the left channel of the cassette deck [on which all tapes have been dubbed] has a major malfunction.
Due to the fact that there is a high demand for quality in every Syrgðr Skógr release and out of respect for every listener, there is no way to release a sound carrier with this kind of derogation.
This release already had some obstacles to overcome, and I don't want to keep it hidden from the audience any longer - so I decided to make it available for purchase/download on bandcamp, starting December the 1st.
Under normal circumstances, a "digital Syrgðr Skógr release" would be out of the question and it is only a matter of time [and money] before the "Karg" tape will be released.
For every digital purchase of "Karg" via bandcamp, you will get an email with an individual discount code so you don't have to pay the full price for the physical release.
Furthermore, the physical release of Karg will be enhanced, so you´ll get more than just a tape with a download code.
Originally, this release should have been all about the music, but according to the circumstances different decisions had to be made.

My deepest gratitude goes to everyone who supported this release, you won´t be forgotten when the time has come.

In the meantime I will resume the work on the split CD with Euphrasia, we hope to finish this opus soon.

Pre listening of "KARG"

At long last...

...it is done. 
"Karg" will be out on the 1st of December 2014.

The album is limited to 50 hand numbered cassettes warped in grey paper and decorated with one print,  each one sealed with a signet.
It features a download code for the full album, including the bonus track "Zapfenfrost" (09m20sec) that does not appear on the tape.

Been to Tanum/Sweden the past days..amazing culture, great landscape and a nice place to chill. 
During my absence the tapes have arrived. 
Now it is dubbing time..expect some release news soon.

Eventually there will be a 2nd run, let us know if you would like this.
 
As mentioned, the next Syrgðr Skógr album will be named "KARG" and is good to go.
Unfortunately there will be a delay with the tapes, about 2 to 4 weeks, which will affect the release date.

Further releases

Now that the Thulr split is done, the work goes on.
All pre-ordes of the Thulr split will be shipped on September 22nd, so you will get your tape right on time.

Further more the next Syrgðr Skógr album will be named "KARG" and is almost ready to go.
It will be released by the end of October (most likely the 31st).
No pre-orders for this one.
In the meantime I printed some covers for a Wurzala and Borke re-re-release on tape (15 units each)
that will be available at Skardus concerts or through personal contact.


The split with Euphrasia will be delayed until late November, but it is worth waiting for.

News on all upcomming releases

Split MC with Thulr:

All tapes have been dubbed, we are now waiting for some news from the print office...again.
After they fucked up the first job..I hope this time they will get it right.
The split will be release in the first weeks of September 2014

Split with Euphrasia:

Most of the recordings are done and sounded great.
There are three songs, overall more than 30 minutes of music.
We still working on the layout and the shape of deliverance 

Syrgðr Skógr Album No.4:

The 4th Album will be released on one tape, with an additional packing, in October.
Overall there are more than 70 minutes of cold and grim music.
It will be a milestone for Syrgðr Skógr and the most saturnine release till now

Well...now it is time for some serious updates

The new Syrgðr Skógr album is still in progress and won´t be available before the end of September (sorry for the delay)
The Syrgðr Skógr / Euphrasia split also is still in progress, more updates to this release later..but, so far I can tell, it will be mind blowing.

Next Album / Thulr split EP

The Syrgðr Skógr recordings for the upcoming Thulr split are done. 
Vocal recordings for the next album are almost done.

Update 2014

Syrgðr Skógrs new album is almost complete (7 songs, over 70min) but it has to wait a few more weeks.
The first split recordings for Thulr will start this weekend, and it will be a fantastic release!
Drum recordings for the Syrgðr Skógr song will follow at the end of January, this date is also affirmed.
The second split with Euphrasia is still in the planning phase, but we are really looking forward to this one with anticipation, so expect the hell of a release.
The plans for re-releasing Borke and Wurzala on tape have not been dropped , but I decided that the new stuff has the higher priority.
Finally there will be the first printed Syrgðr Skógr Interview ever.
Don´t miss the next issue of the great German 'Rauhnacht' zine (https://myspace.com/rauhnacht)!
T-shirts and patches will have to wait until the next opportunity, but they are worth waiting for.
